The insole is odorproof and breathable, with strong comfort
Based on my own ideas, I conducted several conditional tests:
Warm and moisture-proof: In mid October, the lowest temperature in Heilongjiang was already below zero. After 30 minutes of outdoor hiking, there were no issues with the warmth and softness of the sole. The only concern is that in general, in low temperature environments, due to temperature differences, moisture will be generated at the bottom of the insole and boots, which may be more noticeable for friends with sweaty feet. Returning to the dormitory for shoe removal inspection, there has been no such situation as previously feared. There are three reasons to consider. Firstly, I have dry feet and low humidity. Secondly, the temperature difference is small and the contrast is small. Thirdly, the testing time is short. Due to not trying it on in the summer environment, no evaluation will be made.
Anti slip and waterproofing: asphalt pavement, gravel pavement, grass, ceramic tile flooring, thin ice surface, and immersion tests were conducted separately. Ordinary asphalt, gravel, and grass, for hiking and climbing, have outstanding anti slip performance, and there are no issues with protection and ankle joint wrapping. Ceramic tile flooring has good anti slip performance, but can produce sharp friction sounds. The boots were naturally soaked in water for 10 minutes without any penetration.
Anti puncture test: A prominent feature of D12013 is that the interior of the boot sole is loaded with Italian imported bulletproof cloth and anti puncture layer. Because it was my first pair of sand colored boots, I was a bit reluctant to undergo extreme puncture resistance tests. I only wore a 3mm diameter nail on a stepped wooden square, with a length of 4 centimeters. The nail tip penetrated the sole of the shoe less than 1 centimeter and was knocked down without any penetration.
Untested function: Another prominent design of D12013 is the addition of anti slip lines on the inner and outer sides of the boot's center of foot, allowing users to alternately lock the rope with both feet during the descent process. Due to conditions and time constraints, no actual measurements were conducted.
Overall feeling: Due to the use of the European version of the shoe last, it feels like the shoe size is slightly larger than half a size (I usually wear shoes in size 41, choose this boots with a size of 40.5), which appears to have good ankle joint wrapping, weak foot wrap, and a lot of space inside the boots. If it is not tied tightly, it feels a bit uncomfortable, especially when running. I tried it on for the first three days, but I don't know if it's because my feet need to adapt or because of the new boots. I feel like the soles are harder when I bend. This should be a normal situation for new boots. After the immersion test, the softness of the boot body changed, making bending more effortless. The insole is made of high elastic PU (Basf), with 128 air holes, and is made of 7 × 9mm to appropriately solve the problem of excessive thickness of loose last shape, good cushioning, and long-lasting standing without fatigue. According to the designer's approach, the prominent features of boots are protection and functionality, maximizing comfort, overall feeling, and average aesthetics. Further optimization is needed, but the workmanship is excellent and the quality is solid.
At the time of submission, I was leading an instructor training class and returning from training on artificial turf every day. I discovered the advantage of sand colored boots, which is that I no longer have to worry about the problem of black boots adsorbing dust. For lazy people, it is really an advantage. Hehe here.
